AED Trainer for HeartSine^® SAM Training Programs

The HeartSine^® SAM AED Trainer is designed to simulate the use of a live HeartSine^® samaritan^® PAD without delivering an actual electrical shock. This AED trainer helps instructors guide users through simulated analysis, energy delivery, and prompted cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

Because AED training requires realistic practice without live defibrillation capability, the HeartSine^® SAM Trainer gives students the look and feel of a working AED in a safe instructional format. As a result, it supports CPR classes, workplace safety programs, first aid training, emergency response teams, schools, and public-access AED education.

Realistic AED Simulation without Shock Delivery

This AED trainer is intended for instructional use only. HeartSine^® samaritan^® PAD Trainers have no capability to diagnose or treat an arrhythmia, and they do not charge or discharge an electrical shock.

Additionally, the trainer helps users practice the steps of AED response, including pad placement, simulated analysis, simulated energy delivery, and CPR prompts. Therefore, instructors can build responder confidence before students use a live AED in an actual emergency.

Training Scenarios, Pads, and Remote Control

The HeartSine^® SAM AED Trainer includes selectable training scenarios, with six pre-programmed AHA/ERC scenarios for structured instruction. Three pairs of reusable, replaceable training electrode pads are included, and the pads are compatible with most training manikins.

Furthermore, the cable rewind mechanism helps simplify replacement of pads and cables after each session, reducing reset time between classes. The remote control and pause button allow instructors to stop and resume scenarios, provide additional explanation, and support students during training.

CPR Rate Advisor Controls and Configurable Training Features

The SAM 450P Trainer remote control enables instructors to play CPR coaching prompts such as “Push faster,” “Push slower,” “Good speed,” or “Begin CPR” during compression practice. These controls help support guided CPR instruction during AED training.

Moreover, the trainer includes four selectable volume levels and defaults to the last volume selection. Language options allow the Trainer to provide instructions in the local language, making it useful for varied training environments and responder education programs.

Rechargeable Battery and Upgradable Software

The HeartSine^® SAM AED Trainer operates up to seven hours on a single charge, supporting a full day of training. The battery recharges in approximately six hours, while LED indicators show charging status when not in use or one hour of remaining battery life during operation.

Additionally, Trainer software updates are available for download from the HeartSine website. Overall, these features help training teams maintain a dependable, reusable AED trainer for ongoing CPR and AED education.
