Frequently Asked Questions

What is The RIDGEPRO®?

The RIDGEPRO® is a unique patented safety device that allows users to ascend and descend roofs safely. It is an adjustable roof peak anchor that is easy to assemble and use on the job. What is The RIDGEPRO® made from?

The RIDGEPRO® roof anchor system is made in the USA from solid aircraft-grade (6061-T6) aluminum with visible etched pitch markings for accurate settings before you step on the ladder to reach the roof. The RIDGEPRO® has standard integrated rope and harness connection capability for roof fall protection.

Has The RIDGEPRO® been tested?

Anyone who needs to climb roofs safely can take advantage of the safety The RIDGEPRO® delivers.

Will The RIDGEPRO® work on any roof?

The RIDGEPRO® is designed to work best on shingled roofs at pitches from 6/12 to 12/12. If you are using the product on roofs with pitches from 6/12 through 8/12, you should permanently mount the device onto the roof structure, even for quick jobs. At pitches of 8/12 or above, while we still advise directly mounting The RIDGEPRO®, your risk of pulling the device off the peak is reduced. Work smart, work safe.

Can I use The RIDGEPRO® for a quick roof or chimney inspection?

Yes. Once you have rolled The RIDGEPRO® to the roof peak and flipped it over so the wheels are facing up, you can safely ascend the roof and move up to 30 degrees laterally on the wheel side of the roof. For more extensive work, it is strongly recommended that you secure The RIDGEPRO® directly to the roof using four 5/16” x 1 ½ ” lag screws through the pre-drilled holes in the device. Always wear a safety vest with a harness and lifeline for fall protection.
