Description
COVID-19 and Flu A/B Home Test for Respiratory Symptoms
The FlowFlex™ Plus COVID-19 and Flu A/B Home Test is a lateral flow immunoassay. It is designed for the qualitative detection of SARS-CoV-2, influenza A, and influenza B protein antigens. As a result, this COVID-19 and Flu A/B home test helps users identify respiratory infections at home.
Because COVID-19 and influenza share similar symptoms, a combination test supports faster screening. Therefore, individuals and caregivers can use one test to check for multiple viruses. In addition, this approach helps simplify testing during respiratory illness.
At-Home Test with 15-Minute Results
This COVID-19 and Flu A/B home test provides results in 15 minutes, helping users receive timely information during the early days of respiratory symptoms. It is authorized for non-prescription home use with self-collected anterior nares nasal swab specimens from individuals aged 14 years or older.
Additionally, the test may be used with adult-collected anterior nasal swab specimens from individuals 2 years or older. Therefore, it is a practical option for households, workplaces, schools, community programs, and first aid supply areas that need accessible respiratory illness testing supplies.
Authorized Respiratory Test for Symptomatic Individuals
The FlowFlex™ Plus COVID-19 and Flu A/B Home Test is authorized for individuals with signs and symptoms of respiratory infection consistent with COVID-19 within the first six days of symptom onset. Testing should be performed at least twice over three days, and each test should be spaced at least 48 hours apart. As a result, users can follow a repeat-testing process that supports more reliable respiratory illness screening during the authorized testing window.
Furthermore, the test is not intended to detect influenza C antigens, and it does not differentiate between SARS-CoV and SARS-CoV-2 viruses. Therefore, all negative SARS-CoV-2 results are presumptive. Overall, users should follow the product instructions and applicable healthcare guidance when interpreting results.
