Thank you for purchasing The RIDGEPRO®, the premium device in steep-slope roofing safety.
Before each use of this product, please perform the following visual inspection steps:
- Check for bends or cracks in the main (yellow) body, cross member, and pitch receiver (red). Two safety stickers should be visible on the main body.
- Ensure that the holes in the main body cross member are free of dirt and/or corrosion.
- Observe that the pitch grid markings on the pitch receiver are visible and clear.
- Check the steel clevis pin for bends, cracks, or corrosion. It should easily lock the chosen pitch adjustment in place.
- Check the steel shackle for bends, cracks, or corrosion. Ensure that the locking pin can be hand tightened.
- Check pads on main body and pitch receiver for tears, buckles, or excessive wear.
- Ensure that wheels are free of dirt or corrosion and move freely.
- Check Extension Pole Receiver and Locking Pin Hole for dirt or corrosion.
If any items do not meet criteria on this checklist, The RIDGEPRO® must be removed from service until parts are replaced or a new The RIDGEPRO® is obtained. Report any defects found to your supervisor.
